Jameson whiskey has once again proven to be one of the main jewels in the Pernod Ricard crown, posting a 10% increase in net sales for the full year.
According to the drinks group's results, issued this morning, the Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard brand saw a 9% increase in volumes and a 2% increase in price/mix for the full year.
Jameson also broke the five million case barrier over the period, reporting sales of 5.1 million 9-litre cases.
The whiskey outperformed many of its stablemates for the period, with Absolut seeing a decline in net sales of 1%, Chivas Regal posting a flat performance, and Ballantine's up 3%.
Only The Glenlivet, with net sales growth of 11%, outperformed Jameson.
