Rebel Chilli has secured a listing with Tesco Ireland, to supply 44 stores across the country with its red and green chilli sauces.
The award-winning products will be available from Monday 11 April onwards.
According to the Cork-based company, this is an exciting step in the company’s growth as it looks to get more people across Ireland using its sauces.
Paul Moore, owner, said that is 'delighted' to be working with Tesco.
“It is fantastic to get the opportunity to supply Tesco," he added.
"Having our products in-store will be a wonderful way to reach so many new customer.”
Listing Performance
There is also the potential to add more Rebel Chilli sauces if the listing performs well.
He is very much hoping the first two products perform well to open the conversation for more of their range to be added.
“I would love to have all of our sauces in-store so we could make it easier for people to use and enjoy them,” Moore said.
Humble Beginnings
Starting out of his mother’s kitchen, Moore began making chilli sauce with his brother and started selling it at his local farmer’s markets and food festivals around the country.
It was in 2014 when he took over that he decided to go full-time with the business.
Success soon followed when Rebel Chilli won Gold for their Red Chilli at the Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards.
