Aryzta has announced a donation of over €40,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Ireland as their chosen charity partner for 2023.
The food supplier announced the €47,246.90 donation today.
The money was raised through collective activities partaken by the Aryzta team during 2023.
Both committee members and individuals at Aryzta took part in the fundraising efforts.
Fundraising activities included abseiling, cycling, running, racing, cooking and baking.
The team at Aryzta came together with the collective goal to support the important work, care and assistance undertaken at Ronald McDonald House.
A spokesperson from Aryzta praised the efforts of the whole team to support the cause.
The spokesperson said, “It is heart-warming to witness the impact of our collective endeavours, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved.”
Ronald McDonald House provides families with accommodation near Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, enabling them to stay close to their children as long as they are receiving treatment in the hospital.
Since it first opened in 2004, it has provided accommodation and support for over 4,700 families.
The managing director of Aryzta Ireland and the UK Anthony Proctor presented the donation in Grange Castle.
It was accepted by the chief executive of Ronald McDonald House Ireland Joe Kenny, and Louise Quail.
