Coca-Cola Ireland has announced that it is set to launch its new Coca-Cola Energy range, launching in April.
This is the first energy drink released under the Coca-Cola brand.
The new energy drink contains caffeine from naturally-derived sources, guarana extracts, and B vitamins, and is completely taurine-free.

“Coca-Cola Energy includes ingredients from naturally-derived sources, and a delicious and refreshing taste of Coca-Cola,” says Javier Meza, Global Chief Marketing Officer, Sparkling Business.
“We kept these two qualities at the heart of how we developed the recipe and are proud to offer it under the Coca-Cola brand, inviting people to try a new and different energy drink that is designed to complement upbeat and busy lives.”
The drink is set to come in two variants, with and without sugar, in 250ml cans.
Petre Sandru, Country Manager for Coca-Cola Ireland, said that the group wants to offer a “wide range of drinks to meet different lifestyles and occasions”.
“We’re launching Coca-Cola Energy with and without sugar,” he adds, “and we’ll continue to expand and diversify our range of products to offer Irish consumers a wider choice of drinks.”
