Connacht Gold hosted a big breakfast, which was broadcast live on Ireland AM, to celebrate the launch of the Connacht Gold Low Fat Butter #LoveTheTaste campaign.
Presenter Alan Hughes was joined by some well-known faces from the sporting, nutrition, lifestyle and culinary worlds, including 10-time and current champion jockey Ruby Walsh, model and blogger, Pippa O Connor; Dr Mary McCreery, Dietician & Clinical Nutritionist at the Blackrock Clinic, and TV3 resident chef, Joe Shannon from the Radisson Blu, Sligo.
Ruby Walsh talked about how he was introduced to Connacht Gold low fat butter by a Blackrock clinic dietitian 19 years ago and has been using it ever since.
Speaking at the broadcast, Pippa O’Connor, Connacht Gold’s #lovethetaste campaign ambassador said; “I am really excited to be part of Connacht Gold’s #LovetheTaste campaign”. "Healthy eating is very important for me and my family, and Connacht Gold’s Low Fat butter means we don’t have to compromise on taste to enjoy real butter with less calories. It is a natural product, with half the fat and no vegetable oils or chemically-treated fats. The Connacht Gold big breakfast this morning and #LovetheTaste Tea Party next week are events I’m really looking forward to.”
On the show, Joe Shannon also whipped up a delicious walnut and banana breakfast bread. Find the recipe here.
Live musical entertainment at the event was provided by popular Sligo act Rackhouse Pilfer – voted best folk/trad band 2015 by Hotpress Magazine.
