Natural gas provider, Flogas has announced its sponsorship of one of the key horse races at the Hennessy Gold Cup Day on February. The Flogas Novice Chase, run over a distance of two miles, is one of the four 'grade one' races at the meeting.
Managing Director of Flogas Ireland, John Rooney, commented, "Flogas is proud to sponsor this important Grade 1 race which is run on one of Ireland's top national sporting occasions and showcases the best of Irish racing to the world."
The Hennessy Gold Cup is a major event in the National Hunt season and the only Irish fixture to hold four 'grade one' races on one day. The winner of last year's Novice Chase was Ballycasey, ridden by Ruby Walsh and part of the Willie Mullins stable.
