Guaranteed Irish has appointed Viatel’s Damien McCann to its Board of Directors, while Certification Europe’s Rob Lyons joins its Appraisals Board.
“Our Board of Directors and Appraisals Board play crucial roles in ensuring that the Guaranteed Irish remains the symbol of trust and provenance for businesses operating in Ireland today," Brid O’Connell, CEO of Guaranteed Irish said.

Damien McCann Joins Guaranteed Irish Board of Directors
Damien McCann Director of Sales & Marketing, has progressed through the ranks at Viatel, the leading Irish cloud and technology company and has developed a wealth of experience helping indigenous Irish companies and multinationals around cloud, security and telecoms strategies, the business membership network said in a statement.
In 2016 McCann took over as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Viatel Ireland, an integral member of the leadership team tasked with transforming Viatel direction and quickly disrupting the traditional telecoms market in Ireland.
McCann’s experience in the technology industry will lead him to spearhead the development of the Guaranteed Irish network in the technology sector in Ireland.
"Damien’s extensive knowledge of the technology industry in Ireland will prove to be a valuable asset to our Board of Directors, as we look to expand further into this sector," O'Connell said.
Rob Lyons Joins Guaranteed Irish Appraisals Board
Additionally, Guaranteed Irish has appointed Rob Lyons Senior Sales & Marketing Manager at Certification Europe Ltd (CEL) to its Appraisals Board.
Lyons has a passion for creating customer value with over 25 years of experience in driving business development within multinationals, SMEs and the public sector.
Through his role at CEL, Rob has built and maintained a wide range of client relationships across a diverse portfolio of over 100 public and private sector organisations.
His client base includes An Garda Síochána, South Dublin County Council, United Laboratories, Abbvie, Mallinckrodt, Facebook and PWC.
O'Connell outlined: "Rob’s thorough experiences with business development in an Irish context will be warmly welcomed to our Appraisals Board, as we seek to uphold the high level of integrity associated with the Guaranteed Irish brand.”
He will now join Caroline Geoghegan of CG Consulting and Jason Crawford Partner at Grant Thornton on the Appraisals Board at Guaranteed Irish.
