Guaranteed Irish are celebrating 50 years of working with businesses in Ireland by launching a commemorative stamp, with the help of An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.
An Post launched the stamp with Guaranteed Irish, as a company that also supports Irish businesses and innovation.
The launch was a testament to the Guaranteed Irish members that support over 150,000 jobs throughout the country.
The stamp was designed by Dublin-based CI studio and aims to capture the essence of the company in a playful way, with the iconic symbol rendered in gold.
A hand reaching for the green dot over the ‘I’ represents the act of choosing Irish businesses.
The ‘N’ rate €1.40 stamp covers postage across the island of Ireland.
The stamp and specially designed first day cover envelope are available from today on the An Post website and selected post offices nationwide.
‘Build Sustainable Irish Businesses’
At the launch, the chief executive of Guaranteed Irish Bríd O’Connell expressed her delight at working with An Post on the stamp.
O’Connell said, “Guaranteed Irish has supported the Irish economy for the last fifty years and looks forward to sustaining this focus for the next five decades.
“We have evolved to represent our members in a more relevant manner and the support from a business such as An Post has been steadfast, so the stamp is a really fitting way to celebrate this anniversary together.”
David McRedmond, the An Post CEO, also commented on the work the two organisations do for Irish businesses.
McRedmond said of Guaranteed Irish, “Their work promotes all businesses based in Ireland large and small, supporting fair working conditions and a growth economy.
“In this regard Guaranteed Irish and An Post have a lot in common and together we are helping build sustainable Irish businesses and communities for the future.”
The special edition stamps are now available.
