Tobacco group Imperial Brands has launched its Myblu vape on the Irish market, encouraging Irish smokers to make a ‘better blu choice’.
Imperial, which also makes John Player cigarettes and Rizla rolling papers, already sells Myblu in the UK, US and in Europe, where it is the market leader in some countries such as France and Italy.
'A Real Alternative'
According to blu’s Irish head of marketing Carmel Balala, Irish smokers now have “a real alternative and can reap big savings”.
“Myblu offers a great range of flavours and I expect many Irish adult smokers will embrace this less harmful alternative to smoking,” Balala said. “By making the switch to myblu, Irish adult smokers can save over €2,300 a year by swapping their cigarettes for myblu pod.”
Balala highlighted the importance of giving the consumer the choice of a less harmful alternative to smoking, as well as a variety of flavours to choose from in order to give them “a real alternative to smoking”.
The myblu device uses a closed gaping system with refill pods which are pre-made, available in Cherry Crush, Strawberry Mint, Green Apple, Menthol and Tobacco Creme.
The device itself is small and compact, and with just a 20 minute charge time, the device will last all day.
