INM Titles Lead The Way In Irish Newspaper Market

The latest ABC audit of newspaper sales in Ireland show that Irish Independent News and Media (INM) titles continue to lead the Irish newspaper market.

According to figures from January - June 2014, the Sunday Independent continues to be Ireland’s highest selling newspaper, with 63.7% of the quality Sunday market share, over twice that of its nearest competitor, The Sunday Times.

The Irish Independent leads in the quality daily newspaper market, accounting for 49.3% of all sales, whilst the Sunday World is the biggest seller in the popular Sunday market. The latest figures mean that INM-owned papers achieve total sales of 1,351,123 copies per week on average.

“INM has refocused as a digital company with print assets," said INM Editor-in-Chief Stephen Rae. "Our print titles are still very important to us and remain the dominant players in the daily, Sunday and popular markets. We will continue to invest in our printed products to give readers the choice they demand.”
