Coffee roaster Java Republic has announced the appointment of Damien Smyth as Head of Foodservice Sales.
He has worked in the Foodservice and Wholesale Industry for over 20 years.
Smyth has previously worked with companies such as Green Isle Foods and La Boulangerie des Gourmets.
More recently, he worked for 14 years for Musgrave Marketplace.
Throughout this time, he has had the experience of leading small and large teams of professional salespeople, the company said.
'Working with some of the leading companies in Foodservice over the last two decades has given Smyth the opportunity to work with all the different customer segments from a two star Michelin Restaurant right through to a food truck at Electric Picnic as well as companies operating in production and wholesale,' it added.
“I have extensive knowledge of this industry that I wish to continue to share and a desire to continue learning," said Smyth.
'Professional Relationships'
According to Java Republic, during his career Smyth has developed professional relationships with numerous representative bodies such as L.V.A & V.F.I, as well as event organisers such as Live Nation, MCD Productions and many more.
"In this ever-changing market, successful people must have the ability to change and adapt to those changes and face them prepared, which I have done with great success to date," he added.
