Kellogg's has released white chocolate Coco Pops as a response to fans who requested the product on social media.
As reported by Joe.ie, the company received a large amount of requests from consumers and it has listened to the demand for white chocolate version of the cereal.
The new product is now reportedly on sale in Tesco Ireland.
Growing Desire
The product has been brought to stores as a 'direct response from the company to its consumers'.
“In response to our fans, and the growing desire for white chocolate varieties of popular foods, we wanted to see if it was possible to create a white chocolate Coco Pops that tastes as good as the original," said Katy Baily, Kelloggs.
"Our food developers have succeeded and for the first time in the cereal’s 50-year history, a white chocolate version will hit the shops,” she said.
30% Less Sugar
It is advertised on the box that the white chocolate Coco Pops have 30% less sugar, this is in relation to other chocolate coated toasted rice cereals.
Compared to its regular version it has the same amount of sugar, salt and slightly more fat, with one calorie in the difference of flavours.
Kellogg's White Coco Pops are expected to hit all major supermarket shelves by mid-June with a price of €4.09.
