Did you know...? MediaCom Ireland has joined forces with the Gum Litter Taskforce (GLT) to drive awareness of the ‘Bin Your Gum When You’re Done’ campaign. The initiative aims to inspire behavioural change by showcasing positive ways to dispose of chewing gum. The Gum Litter Taskforce is a joint initiative whose members include representatives of the chewing gum industry such as Mars Wrigley, as well as the Department of the Environment, Food Drink Ireland and local authorities. The campaign will run from June to September.
Did you know...? Nine in ten shoppers believe that grocery businesses can play a key role in helping them to make more sustainable purchasing decisions, a study by tcc has found. According to the research, which captured the views of close to 2,500 shoppers in Germany, France, Russia, China and Italy, 90% of respondents said that they believe supermarkets can help them make more sustainable choices in-store, while 78% said that they now make purchasing decisions based on whether products are environmentally friendly, reports esmmagazine.com.

Warm June weather after widespread rain last month is helping European wheat crops recover from a chilly, dry start to spring, keeping the region on track for a rebound from last year's disappointing harvest, analysts and traders said. Forecasters have since late May increased estimates for soft wheat output in the European Union and Britain, with grain trade association Coceral now seeing the combined EU and British crop up nearly 14% from 2020. "Crops are a bit behind but conditions are fine. We can't talk about a disastrous crop anymore, we're back to an average-plus crop," Benjamin Bodart, an analyst with Agritel, said.
