Müller Yogurt & Desserts has created two new senior roles within the company.
The group said that the move was to further accelerate progress in branded and private label sales to grocery, convenience and food service channels in the UK and Ireland.
“The creation of these two senior roles will align our commercial organisation with the rapidly changing needs of the markets we serve," said Bergen Merey, managing director at Müller Yogurt & Desserts.
New Recruits
The business has confirmed that Jonathan Piper will join Müller Yogurt & Desserts from Hovis where he is currently UK sales director, to 'lead a customer centric sales team' with overall responsibility for branded activity in the UK & Ireland.
Prior to his work with Hovis, Piper held a similar role at Kellogg’s and spent three years within Müller as sales director Ireland and Business Unit Head.
Earlier in his career he held various sales roles with Coca-Cola European Partners and Mars Petcare.
The newly created commercial director, private label & food service role will be taken by David Hollins, currently private label business unit head at Müller Yogurt & Desserts.
Hollins has almost three decades of experience working within dairy.
Having spent 12 years with Lactalis and Lactalis Nestlé, he joined Müller in 2012 and created the existing private label yogurt and dessert business, which completed a £50m expansion earlier this year.
The company also announced that Bill Mathieson, Müller Yogurt & Desserts commercial director, will be leaving the business in January to take a senior role outside the organisation.
