Nestlé Ireland has appointed Niamh Twyford as country manager for confectionery, in a move that will see her responsible for leading the company’s confectionery business in Ireland.
The brand’s portfolio includes iconic brands and fan favourites such as KitKat, Aero, Smarties and Quality Street.
With over 20 years’ experience within the food-and-nutrition industry, together with a background of working with global brand and marketing communications agencies, Twyford brings to the role a proven track record of success.
She also possesses deep knowledge of insights around consumer behaviour patterns and preferences.
Twyford joins the company from CPM, a global sales outsourcing and brand experience agency, where she held the role of client services director, managing the Diageo account.
Before this, she spent over six years at Pladis Global, as the head of marketing and category, driving the commercial growth of sweet and savoury biscuit brands including McVitie’s, Carr’s, Godiva and Flipz.
Twyford’s early career includes senior brand roles in Danone, Mondelēz International and Cadbury.
She is a graduate of Dublin City University and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies in marketing, as well as being a qualified business coach.
