Britvic Ireland has announced the appointment of Trystan Farnworth to the position of commercial director for the island of Ireland.
Farnworth’s most recent appointment to his current role as island of Ireland commercial director at Britvic Ireland, will see him assume responsibility for all sales channels in the Irish market.
He will oversee the national accounts and field teams with full responsibility for Britvic Ireland, Counterpoint and Aquaporte.
Commenting on Farnworth’s appointment, managing director of Britvic Ireland, Kevin Donnelly said: "His role as commercial director is absolutely crucial to value creation for Britvic, our customers and partner in a constantly evolving trading environment."
'Climbing The Ranks'
A native of Bangor in North Wales, Farnworth is a company veteran having worked for Britvic since 2002.
Farnworth climbed the ranks of Britvic’s GB operation through a series of three account manager roles before being promoted to commercial controller in 2006.
He reached director level in 2011 when he became Britvic’s director of Commercial Change & Joint Ventures and he was appointed to the board of Britvic plc as sales director in 2014.
Farnworth spent five years in this role before taking up a newly created role in Britvic plc last year as group sustainability director.
In this role he oversaw the development of a company-wide sustainability strategy dealing with key business sustainability priorities such as plastics and packaging.
"Having been with Britvic for nearly twenty years, Trystan also brings with him a wealth of soft drinks knowledge and group-wide experience on business critical matters including Sustainability, which will be of huge benefit,” Donnelly added.
