Virgin Media Solutions has announced Peroni Nastro Azzurro as the lead partner of ‘The Restaurant’.
The brand-new series will return to Virgin Media One at the end of September and will feature acclaimed food talent Marco Pierre White, Rachel Allen and a 'host of familiar faces'.
Megan Kenny, marketing manager, Peroni Nastro Azzurro Ireland, said, “With Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% being among the top drinks of choice for restaurant going consumers and those working within the restaurant industry itself, we are very proud to sponsor this much-loved show that shares our values of passion, flair and style.
"Delivering a refreshing taste, Peroni Nastro Azzurro is the perfect accompaniment for every food occasion, and we are excited to see what the celebrity chefs cook up in the kitchen.”
Irish Celebrities
According to Virgin Media Solutions, the series will see six popular Irish celebrities 'swap their day jobs for oven gloves' including ‘The Young Offenders' star Demi Isaac Oviawe and Radio Host, Doireann Garrihy.
Each episode features a celebrity, who will take on the role of head chef to produce a full three-course meal with two wines.
This meal is then served to the restaurant's customers, the resident critics Marco Pierre White and Rachel Allen, and a guest critic each week.
The diners will eat and critique their meals, and will have to guess which celebrity prepared the meal.
At the end of the episode the head chef will reveal their identity to the guests in the dining room.
'Great Fit'
Cormac Doyle, national sales manager (AdSmart & New Business Development) at Virgin Media Solutions, said, “We are delighted to have Peroni Nastro Azzurro come on board as the primary sponsor on the new series of 'The Restaurant' on Virgin Media Television.
"The partnership is a great fit for the brand as it speaks to beer lovers and foodies alike. We are looking forward to having this premium brand in the new series and watching the partnership come to life on our screens.”
