Volvic – the number-three mineral water brand in the Checkout Top 100 Brands 2024 – has announced the launch of Touch of Fruit Sparkling Sugar-Free in Ireland.
The still and sugared offering of Touch of Fruit is already popular in Ireland, with it taking the number-four spot in Checkout’s mineral water category, compiled by NIQ.
This latest innovation aims to brings something new to the €6.5 million flavoured sparkling water category by combining spring water sourced by Volvic with delicious fruity flavours, bursting with bubbles and offering a refreshing taste.
Health is becoming increasingly important to Irish consumers, and so this new offering gives shoppers a sugar-free and low-calorie option, as each 330ml serving contains less than five calories.
Available in Strawberry and Mango Passion, shoppers can enjoy the new drink in a convenient can format.
Speaking about the Irish launch, the category marketing director for beverages at Danone UK&I, Rachael Hann, said, “As consumers continue to choose health-conscious products, Touch of Fruit Sparkling Sugar-Free embraces this trend, offering a delicious and refreshing beverage that is sugar-free without compromising on taste.
“Its launch in Ireland represents a strategic expansion for the brand, allowing Volvic to further tap into the demand for flavourful on-the-go drinks within the competitive convenience category.”
Both flavours are now available in Spar, Eurospar, Centra and SuperValu stores at €1.40 RRP, with a further roll-out planned for the coming months.
