Barry & Fitzwilliam has recently announced it has secured the Irish distribution rights to craft beer brand, Brewdog, effective as from 1 January 2018.
"The addition of the Brewdog brand to our portfolio will give our customers an unrivaled choice of Craft Beers both domestic and International,” said Michael Barry, managing director of Barry & Fitzwilliam.
Global Crowdfunding Platform
Brewdog which was first introduced in the UK in 2007 has reportedly become successful at an international scale following a 'rapid expansion and brewing innovation'.
The craft beer was supported by a crowdfunding platform called the ‘Equity for Punks’, which saw 60,000 global investors, contribute £50 million collectively.
Brewdog is the latest addition to the Irish distributors portfolio, which currently includes products from the multinational drinks groups Beam Suntory, McGuigan Wines, Rémy Cointreau, Jägermeister and WKD to name but a few.
