The world's largest beverage company is adding a new product to their portfolio of soft drinks. Coca-cola Life is defining itself as a lower calorie, lower-sugar alternative to regular Coca-Cola, sweetened from natural sources.
Sourced from blended sugar and stevia leaf extract, a regular 330ml can contains only 89 calories, and contains only natural flavours with no added preservatives. The product will be available in and have a similar price to the other products in the Coca-Cola portfolio.
Jon Woods, General Manager UK and Ireland says: We're committed to responding to their changing lifestyle choices of our consumers offering them more low- and zero- calorie options".
In 2014, the Irish branch of the company invested in the dublinbikes scheme to help increase the number of cyclists in the capital. A partnership developed with Dublin City Council, along with JC Decaux, saw the number of docking stations double, and treble the number of bikes to 1,500. Coca-Cola also supported a number of regional bike schemes in Cork, Galway and Limerick through a €500k grant through the Coca-Cola Thank You Fund.
Coca-Cola Life is the first product in the Coca-Cola range to be introduced to Ireland in 10 years, since Coca-Cola Zero, and the fourth in its 128-year history.
