Hyde Irish Whiskey’s President’s Cask 10-year-old Single Malt scored 90 out of 100 points at the Tastings Awards run by the Beverage Testing Institute, earning it a gold medal.
The judges described the winning single malt as: "Aromas of mincemeat pie with graham cracker crust, dried pear and peach in cream, pepper, and candle wax and yeasty dough with a silky, dry-yet-fruity light-to-medium body and a warming, compelling, medium-long honeyed grain and toast, browns spices, honeyed citrus, and minerals finish."
Conor Hyde explains the process behind Hyde Irish Whiskey: "The flavour and character of each whiskey is brought about by the complex interaction between the spirit and carefully chosen woods used in our casks. We firmly believe that 'the wood makes the whiskey' and that 80% of the final whiskey taste can be attributed directly to the wood chosen to mature and finish the whiskey."
Hyde Irish Whiskey is a family business based in County Cork. The whiskeys are available in selected outlets in Ireland and in more than 15 markets around the globe.
