Irish Distillers has signed and completed a deal to sell Paddy Irish Whiskey to US drinks firm, Sazerac.
The value of the transaction has not been disclosed, and as part of the agreement, production of Paddy will continue at the Midleton Distillery in Co. Cork.
Irish Distillers announced its plans to sell the Paddy, which is the fourth largest Irish whiskey brand in the world, earlier this month.
The Pernod Ricard affiliate also noted that under the terms of the sale of Sazerac, “There would be no impact on roles at Irish Distillers; all employees would remain in place under current terms and conditions.”
