Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur was awarded the prize for Best Cream Liqueur 2016 at the prestigious World Liqueur Awards in London on 17 March.
The World Liqueur Awards are part of the World Drinks Awards programme, and were designed to select, reward and promote the best liqueur taste and design to consumers and trade around the world
Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur is a blend of fresh natural cream from Irish grass-fed cow, aged Irish whiskey and real chocolate. Owned by Ornua, it promises to be one third creamier than most Irish cream liqueurs, making it an indulgent drink.
Adam Murphy, Marketing Director, Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur said, “As a relative newcomer to the industry, we are delighted to be named Best Cream Liqueur at the World Liqueur Awards.”
He noted that it was particularly special for the Irish brand to be recognised on St. Patrick’s Day, and said, “It has been extremely rewarding to see how popular the drink has become in our key markets since our launch in September 2014, as more and more people are won over by the superior taste of Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur.”
