O Brother Brewing has unveiled two new beers brewed exclusively for Aldi Ireland, expanding its popular line-up.
The new products – Eachtra, a stout, and Clann, a session IPA – brings the total number of exclusive O Brother products at Aldi to three.
They join Nasc, another session IPA, which hit Aldi shelves earlier this year and has so far proved a big hit with customers.
O Brother Brewing initially came through the Grow With Aldi 2022 programme that champions Irish suppliers and gives Aldi customers the opportunity to support native small businesses at great value prices.
With over 100,000 units of Eachtra and Clann due to go on sale at Aldi stores across Ireland in the coming months, the family-run Wicklow brewery continues its rapid growth, just as it prepares to mark a decade in business this December.
A seasonal stout with a 4.2% ABV, Eachtra – meaning “adventure” or “journey” – has a full-bodied profile while Clann – meaning “family” – is a 3.8% session IPA that offers a clean, crisp taste.
‘New Ideas’
Speaking about the brewer’s connection with Aldi, CEO of O Brother Brewing Barry O’Neill said, “We have been so impressed with Aldi’s commitment to supporting a growing local business like ours – it’s a fantastic outlet for us to showcase our products and we’re so proud to be able to offer them to Aldi customers.
“We hope to further develop the relationship in 2025 and would like to thank Aldi for this vote of confidence in O Brother Brewing.”
Jack Fitzmaurice, buying director at Aldi Ireland, said, “O Brother Brewing have shown real dedication to innovating and developing their offering since they came through the Grow With Aldi 2022 supplier programme.
“It’s always so exciting to see new ideas coming through from the team.
“We’re very happy to have two more exclusive brews on our Aldi shelves and to be working closely with O Brother Brewing once more.”
Originally established in Kilcoole, the O Brother Brewing team is currently putting the finishing touches on its new brewery and visitor centre at Belmont Demesne in Co. Wicklow.
The 580 square metre facility will allow the business to significantly increase capacity to meet growing demands, as well as showcasing its full range of award-winning beers, alongside some brewery-only specials in a new taproom.
