Ab InBev has announced that it’s next president of its UK & Ireland business will be Paula Lindenberg, according to The Grocer.
Lindenberg is currently the vice president of marketing in Brazil for the group but will assume her new role in January 2019.
She has spent 17 years with the group, and will now relocate to the UK from Sao Paolo.
Beer Culture
Lindenberg said that the UK was “renowned for having one of the world’s best pub and beer cultures”.
“The variety of beers here is incredible, and our own portfolio has never been stronger or more diverse,” she said.
“It is also unique in that it features all three of our global brands – Stella Artois, Budweiser, and Corona. I can’t wait to work alongside the team in growing the beer category even further.”
She will assume her role following the announcement of Jason Warner’s move to a more expansive role. He was previously the president of the UK and Northern Europe business.
Warner praised Lindenberg as it was announced she would be assuming his position.
“I can’t think of a better person to lead the UK onto the next level,” he said.
“[She has] contributed hugely to our Latin American business, leading its growth strategy, expanding its premium beers and reconnecting the business with its brewing heritage.
“I have no doubt that she will bring her own brand of creative vision and energy to these shores.”
