British drinks group, Quintessential Brands is set to acquire a one third stake in Northern Irish business, Tempted Irish Cider, as it expands its portfolio of Irish brand.
Tempted Irish Cider was founded by Davy Uprichard in 2009 in Co. Armagh. The range, which includes Tempted Sweet, Dry, Medium Dry, Strawberry and Elderflower, is listed across Ireland already, and this new joint venture will see it rolled out across the UK and internationally in the coming months.
Quintessential Brands will now assume responsibility for managing the international sales, marketing and distribution of Tempted Irish Cider, while Drinksology will continue to distribute the brand in Northern Ireland as well as the Republic of Ireland.
Tempted Irish Cider founder Uprichard added, “This is an exciting move for Tempted Cider. Our new partnership with Quintessential Brands Ireland will allow us to use their brand building expertise and distribution network to expand internationally and enable Tempted Cider to establish itself as a key player internationally.”
Quintessential Brands recently entered a similar deal with with Clanconnel Brewing Company’s McGrath’s Irish craft ales, and also bought the Dublin Whiskey Company for €10 million in March of this year.
