The co-founder of Rye River Brewing has said that 2016 is likely to be a "stratospheric game changer" for its McGargles brand, which has "gained massive traction across three continents".
Niall Phelan was commenting following the launch of a crowdfunding campaign by the brewer, with which it will be using Kickstarter to help raise funds to fuel its expansion.
Recently, Rye River Brewing moved into a new brewery in Celbridge, which the company says will reach a capacity of 11 million litres per year within three years. It also recently gained a listing with Carrefour in Italy, as well as at ABC Wines Florida, the largest independent liquor store operator in the US state.
In addition, a distribution deal in Canada, coupled with its burgeoning US operation, will see 500,000 litres sold in North America this year.
"A combination of significant distribution deals throughout mainland Europe and North America combined with a ground-breaking deal towards the end of 2015 in South Korea will see a major increase in our turnover and profitability," said Phelan.
