The Busker has recommended its Triple Cask Triple Smooth Irish Whiskey to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this weekend.
The Busker is rooted in the traditions of Irish whiskey making with a contemporary twist.
The whiskey is distilled at Royal Oak Distillery in Co. Carlow with special attention paid to quality.
The Busker took home a silver medal at the World Whiskey Awards 2024.
It is available from select SuperValu, Tesco and Dunnes Stores nationwide.
The Whiskey
It honours its Irish heritage down to the bottle design – with white text and a green label combined with the gold of the whiskey to symbolise the Irish flag.
However, it also goes beyond the limitations of the past with its unique triple-cask, triple-smooth blend.
The triple-smooth blend is made with a high quality single grain and a high percentage of single malt.
It is made with a single pot still before being matured and finished in sherry, marsala and bourbon casks.
This process results in the yellow gold-coloured whiskey with a rich body the Busker is known for.
With notes of tropical fruits of vanilla and a taste of malt sweetness and dark chocolate, the whiskey is well-balanced.
While the spirit can be enjoyed over ice or straight up, the Busker has also offered a St. Patrick’s Day cocktail recipe.
