The Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey recorded the pre-tax profit last year following a pre-tax loss of €698,000 in 2017, its latest director's report showed.
During the period, revenue increased by 17%, from €37 million to €43.2 million, reports the Irish Independent.
"Production volumes at Tullamore were higher than in the prior year, in part due to the first full year of grain production," the whiskey maker said in the report.
"Overall capital expenditure continued to focus on initiatives to improve efficiency, increasing distilling, packaging capacity, automate packaging operations and increase warehouse capacity." It added.
