Writers’ Tears - Copper Pot Irish Whiskey has been awarded a Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirit’s Competition.
Walsh Whiskey Distillery’s Commercial Director, John Kelly, said, “This award is timely coming in a year when we are more than doubling our distribution of Writers' Tears - Copper Pot to 40 of the United States in what is the world’s largest market for Irish whiskey. The endorsement of this award will help our whole team spread the word and taste of Writers’ Tears.”
Copper Pot is a triple-distilled, non-peated Irish whiskey which is matured and aged in American Oak bourbon casks. Its international success comes from its rare composition, a vatting of Aged Single Pot Still and Single Malt whiskey, without any Grain Whiskey.
This style of whiskey was known as ‘The Champagne of Whiskey’ when it was first fashioned in Ireland in the 1800s.
Walsh Whiskey Distillery recently appointed Paragon Brands to distribute its portfolio of award-winning premium and super-premium Irish whiskeys within the UK, as its Irish Whiskey becomes the fastest growing Spirit in the world.
