Iconic girlband B*Witched surprised attendees at Keeling’s ‘Love that Keeling’s Feeling’ garden with a performance today, kicking off Bord Bia Bloom 2024.
The Irish-owned fresh-produce brand opened its garden at Bord Bia Bloom, and it will stay open until Monday 3 June.
Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinéad O’Carroll – together known as B*Witched – joined Keeling’s for the launch of Bloom 2024 earlier today.
Their famous track ‘C’est la Vie’ now features in a Keeling’s advert, capturing the fun of that ‘Keeling’s feeling’ when enjoying fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers.
The Garden
James Purdy designed the ‘Love that Keeling’s Feeling’ garden at Bloom.
It offers an interactive sensory experience, featuring fresh fruit bushes, pear and apple trees, rhubarb patches and strawberry plants.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the garden, which also includes wildflowers and native hedgerows, all of which play a key role in growing fresh fruit.
Keeling’s growers will also be on hand to share their expertise for anyone hoping to grow their own fruit at home.
The building materials used to construct the garden are all reclaimed or sustainably sourced within Ireland.
Keeling’s sourced the plants and flowers from local Irish nurseries, including Keeling’s own.
After the festival, Keeling’s will ensure that all materials are reused, repurposed or recycled.
In the meantime, Keeling’s is encouraging everyone to visit, join the fun, and interact with its innovative hand-built conveyor, to receive some fresh seasonal berries.
‘Taste And Enjoyment’
Speaking about the experience, the chief executive of Keeling’s, Caroline Keeling, said, “At Keeling’s, we want to inspire more people to enjoy fresh produce, and our garden at Bloom is a celebration of that.
“We’re so excited to share our garden and can’t wait to meet the thousands of people who will wander through our orchards, wildflowers, and strawberry patches at Bloom over the next few days.
“Taste and enjoyment are at the essence of everything we do at Keeling’s, and that’s something we hope visitors to our garden will experience.”
Speaking about Keeling’s new advert, featuring B*Witched’s famous song, singer Edele Lynch said, “We were delighted to have ‘C’est la Vie’ featured in Keeling’s new advert.
“We’re all mums, and we all like to eat well, so fresh produce is a big part of our daily lives.
“Whether I’m giving the kids a snack, doing meal prep, or making a Sunday dinner, fresh fruit and veg are so important.
“Keeling’s is a brand we all love and get so much enjoyment from.”
The ‘Love that Keeling’s Feeling’ garden is open to the public at Bloom from Thursday 30 May until Monday 3 June.
