Guinness – the official beer of the Premier League – today announced an event in the Bernard Shaw celebrating the launch of its new ‘Guinness Time’ campaign.
On Saturday 7 December, Guinness Time will kick off in the Bernard Shaw in Phibsborough, Dublin with a Premier League experience.
Football fans can expect musical guests, delicious match day food, Premier League games on the big screen, and of course, pints of Guinness.
Topping the bill is UK hip-hop and garage group The Streets, returning to Dublin for one of their most intimate Irish shows to date, bringing game day magic to fans.
Speaking ahead of the event, The Streets’ Mike Skinner said, “George Bernard Shaw said that all great truths begin as blasphemies.
“I don’t think it’s blasphemous to say that apparently there’s 300 million bubbles in every pint of Guinness, which is a lot.
“Apparently, only 300 people can get into this upcoming gig in Dublin, which is not a lot.
“We’ll see you at the Bernard Shaw, let’s make sure the craic is 90.”
Also In Attendance
Vanessa Ogbonna, former League of Ireland and FAI player, will host the Guinness Time launch event, celebrating football and the connection it forges across communities.
To add to the event, London gourmet pie makers Willy’s Pies will be rolling into Dublin with a special Beef Shin and Guinness pie created especially for the event.
In addition to this, Art of Football – which just announced a range of Guinness-related apparel – will lend its weight to the event by curating a pop-up exhibition of Irish art to decorate the walls of the Bernard Shaw.
Artists including Conor Nolan, Fiona McDonnell and David J McMillan were tasked with representing some of the greatest moments in football history in their own unique style.
The Guinness marketing director Alan McAleenan commented on the event, saying, “We are delighted to be celebrating the Guinness partnership with the Premier League at this ultimate football event in the Bernard Shaw.
“The pub is at the heart of Irish culture, and for football fans it’s the home away from home.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing it all together with Guinness Time.”
Throughout the day, there will also be music from DJ Mango, a pop-up vintage football jersey market by 35 Vintage and epic spot-prizes from Art of Football.
Guinness Time is the first event in Ireland as part of Guinness’s four-year global partnership with the Premier League, marking its status as the Offical Beer and Official Non-Alcoholic Beer of the league.
A limited number of additional tickets for Guinness Time will be made available at 12pm on Tuesday 3 December from www.guinness.com/en-ie/guinness-time.
