The Coeliac Society of Ireland is to host Ireland’s first ever 100% gluten-free food market at the Silver Springs Moran Hotel in Cork on Saturday 4 October. The ‘Ballynogluten Food Market’ is part of the organisation’s annual National Convention taking place that weekend.
The food market will offer coeliacs the chance to meet and chat with gluten-free food producers and taste a wide variety of gluten-free food samples in a fun, interactive atmosphere with lots of music and entertainment.
A variety of presentations and workshops from some of Ireland’s leading healthcare professionals will also take place during the convention, whilst RTÉ’s Aisli Madden and Cat Lawlor will give a motivational talk about the challenges of coeliac living.
Grainne Denning, CEO of the Coeliac Society of Ireland, commented, “This family friendly event offers a unique opportunity for anyone following a gluten-free diet to get away for the weekend without having to worry about what you’re going to eat and whether or not it is actually gluten-free”.
