Cully & Sully has teamed up with Grow It Yourself (GIY) to launch ‘al desko’ food growing challenge ‘Give Peas a Chance at Work’, offering participants the chance to win a prize bag worth €5,000.
The initiative aims to get 500 teams of up to five colleagues working together to grow peas at work over 12 weeks. The teams will receive a GIY pack of containers, seeds and soil, as well as expert growing tips and advice from founder Michael Kelly.
Commenting on the campaign, Kelly explained, “Here in GIY we are big believers in the power of small food growing experiences to help people to develop a deeper appreciation for food as a path to better health.”
He added that the GIY challenge also offers lessons in teamwork, problem solving and persistance; all applicable skills to the workplace.
Cully & Sully director Cullen Allen added, “Fresh is best when it comes to food and you can’t get fresher than growing your own, even at work.”
