Fruit supplier Keelings has announced that its June harvest of strawberries is 'bigger than expected', following good growing conditions at its Dublin facility.
In addition, at Bloom in the Phoenix Park last weekend, Keelings sold more strawberries from its 'Grow Tunnel' on the Saturday than during all of the festival the previous year. Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney was among the thousands that visited the Grow Tunnel during the four days of the event.
To mark an exceptional strawberry harvest, Keelings is releasing a 1kg tray of Irish strawberries in stores nationwide for one day only, today, Friday 6th June.
