The Board of the National Dairy Council (NDC) has elected Teddy Cashman as its new Chairman.
Cashman is a dairy farmer from Whitescross in Cork, and already represents the Irish Farmer’s Association on the NDC board. He is also Chairman of the IFA Liquid Milk Committee.
He replaces Cllr Jackie Cahill, who stepped down from the role as Chairman following his selection to run for election for Fianna Fáil.
Meanwhile, John Murphy from Craanford in Wexford, representing Glanbia, was elected as Vice Chairman of the National Dairy Council.
