The Board of Dairygold Co-Operative society elected a new Chairman and Vice Chairman, agriland.ie reported today. James Lynch, a dairy farmer from Sixmilebridge Co. Clare will replace outgoing Chariman Bertie O'Leary.
Lynch was first elected to the Dairygold Board in 2008 and has been the Society's Vice Chairman. Lynch's farm, which was one of the first 'Dairygold's Monitor Farms', welcomed China's Premier, Xi Jinping during his three-day tour of Ireland in February 2012.
Board member Tom Feeney of Ballyheaphy, Araglen in Cork was elected as Vice Chairman. He was first elected to the board in 2009.
