Operation GIY Nation, a campaign launched earlier this year in association with Renault Ireland and GIY (Grow it Yourself) Ireland, entered the next stage of its development this month as the four participants in the initiative were presented with a Renault’s Fluence Z.E. electric car for a three-month period.
The four 'pioneers' were chosen for their enthusiasm for growing their own food, and for their interest in driving an eco-friendly electric vehicle and their ability to promote their challenge through blogging and social media.
Over the next three months, the four will be required to take part in an 'eco-adventure' growing their own food, and blogging about it on www.giyireland.com/giynation, with the winner getting to keep their Renault Fluence Z.E. car.
