Ornua, one of Ireland’s largest exporter of dairy products and owner of Kerrygold, snapped up a total of 14 awards at the Global Cheese Awards in Frome, Somerset.
Ornua won three gold, six silver and four bronze for cheese and one bronze award for salted butter. Irish Cheddar won three awards, grabbing gold, silver and bronze.
'Superior Taste'
“Delivering dairy products of the highest quality and superior taste is at the heart of everything we do,” said Bernard Condon, Managing Director Ornua Ingredients Division.
“To see so many fantastic Ornua cheeses being recognised on a global stage, at such important industry events, is extremely rewarding, and would not be made possible without the hard work of dairy processors and producers.
“We would also like to extend our warmest congratulations to Ornua Co-op members Carbery, Dairygold and Glanbia, who picked up a range of awards for their fantastic Irish cheese.”
During the summer, Ornua swept up a total of 20 awards across all its business units, Ornua Ingredients, Ornua Foods UK, and Ornua Co-op, at The International Cheese & Dairy Awards.
