The Cheese Up Your Life half-day symposium on cheese culture, organised by the National Dairy Council, is set to take place in Dublin’s Dean Hotel on 9 May, with free pre-registration for interested foodies and chefs now open.
The event will by chaired by food journalist Suzanne Campbell, and will include a tasting and discussion on Ireland's relationship with cheese hosted by Kevin Sheridan.
Irish and European speakers will also be on hand to review the heritage and traditions of Ireland’s cheese cultures, and Olympic athlete Derval O'Rourke will share her insights into the role of cheese in modern cooking.
Also included in the symposium will be a presentation on the science of what makes food delicious.
A limited number of free places are available on a 'first come' basis, and anyone who wants to attend the event must pre-register by contacting [email protected].
