Tourism Ireland, working with both Bord Bia and Selfridges, launched the ‘Taste the Emerald Isle’ pop-up in London yesterday.
Taste The Emerald Isle
Celebrity chefs and various food, tourism and lifestyle journalists and bloggers attended the launch that features over 40 well-known Irish brands.
The pop-up includes the likes of Avoca, McCambridge Bread, Flahavan’s, Carlingford oysters, Lismore Food Company biscuits, Connemara Peated Irish Whiskey and Glendalough Gin.
“We’re delighted to work with Selfridges and Bord Bia on this ‘Taste the Emerald Isle’ promotion,” said Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Great Britain.
“It’s another excellent opportunity to spread the word about our superb culinary offering and what makes a holiday in Ireland unique and truly memorable. Our message here in Britain is that the island of Ireland is a superb choice for ‘foodies’ for a holiday or long weekend break.”
The promotion will also include two chef’s dinners in addition to a Carlingford Oyster and Glendalough Gin tasting evening.
