INM has announced that the editorial staff of the Sunday World and The Herald will be integrated into a new ‘Digital First’ seven-day content centre.
According to INM, the new initiative is designed to ‘optimise the news offering of both titles’. INM hopes the move will ‘future-proof’ both titles.
“This is a fundamental restructuring of the production and reporting process by taking advantage of new systems, improvements and work-flows that have already been successfully introduced across the Irish Independent, Sunday Independent and The Herald,” said Stephen Rae, Editor-In-Chief.
The initiative is part of the overall ongoing group re-organisation of INM. As part of the integration, there will also be a programme of voluntary redundancies.
