Aldi was one of the big winners at the 2016 Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards, receiving a total of six awards, including an outstanding Gold award for its 'Specially Selected Exquisite Mince Pies'.
Many of Aldi’s winning products are sourced from Irish suppliers: 'Aldi Specially Selected 28 Day Matured Irish Rib Roast on the Bone' is produced by Tipperary based supplier ABP Cahir, 'Aldi Dark Chocolate Valencia Orange Handmade Chocolate Bar' is produced by Áine Handmade Chocolates in Co. Cavan, and 'Aldi Skellig Bay Salmon Infusions – Parsley, Chive & Garlic' is produced by The Good Fish Company in Co. Cork.
'Aldi Vegetable Fajita Kit' and 'Aldi Mamia Organic Mango, Apple & Banana (Stage 1)' were also among the winners.

'Aldi’s Specially Selected Exquisite Mince Pies' will be back in stores on 13 November. They are supplied by Genesis Crafty, a bakery in Co. Derry run by the six McErlain brothers, Adrian, John, Paul, Seamus, Brian and Damian, who employ over 200 people.
