Baked goods manufacturer Baketime Ltd has recalled number of products it manufactures for Aldi’s UK and Irish stores on a precautionary basis, as they have been manufactured in unhygienic conditions.
The UK’s Food Standards Agency’s website warns that the affected products may have been subject to pest contamination at the Baketime facility in the UK.
The only product being recalled from Irish Aldi stores is Belmont Biscuits Ginger Nuts. The affected 300g packs have the batch codes L16047, L16048, L16061, L16062, L16068, and L16069.
According to the FSAI, recall notices have been sent to Aldi stores to be displayed at tills, and customer who have bought these packs are asked to return them to the store.
Along with the ginger nut biscuits, a wider range of products have been recalled from Aldi’s UK stores, including batches Aldi Cheese Thins, Aldi Cheese Bakes and the range of Aldi Oddbites.
Baketime has also recalled products made in the same facility from Asvina, Booker and LBV.
