Concluding its milestone 20th year in business earlier this week Gala Retail has donated €10,000 to the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation.
The children's charity provides direct funding to provide home nursing care to families of children up to the age of five who suffer severe intellectual and physical developmental delay, and also end of life care to all children up to the age of five.
The donation will provide both nursing care and respite, Gala’s gift will enable families to do the things that most people take for granted like getting a night’s sleep or doing the grocery shopping, the retailer said in a statement.
This surprise donation was warmly welcomed by the charity on behalf of all of 340 children under its wing.
"Gala Retail has a long history of supporting the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation and this donation will make a significant difference and is a real gift of time for our families around the country," Carmel Doyle, Interim CEO, Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation said.
