Iceland is launching a second range of their Street Co after the positive repercussion with Mumbai dishes, offering a Mexican version.
Taking inspiration from the popularity of street trucks and restaurants like Wahaca, El Pastor and Breddos in the UK, the company is reportedly the first frozen retailer to present a Central America style with authentic ingredients, such as guajillo, chipotle chillies, tomatillos and Mexican oregano.

Like Mumbai, the new Mexican Street Co range designed to share with friends and family with its small plates, tapas style dishes.
“Street food is now more popular than ever and we wanted to expand on the Street Co name after the successful launch of Mumbai,” said Neil Nugent, Head Chef, Iceland.
“We’ve studied the vibrant flavours of Mexico in these new recipes and designed the range to share with friends and family.”
All of the dishes are €2 each or 3 for €5, including Pulled Chicken Mole, Chipotle Chilli Cauliflower Cheese, Chicken Pibil Empanada, Beef Chilli Verde, Creamed Ancho Chilli Corn, Patatas Bravas.
