A number of both SuperValu Own Brand and Food Academy products have won a total of 63 Blas na hÉireann National Irish Food Awards this year.
The SuperValu Own Brand Range scooped 25 awards alone, taking 7 Gold, 6 Silver and 12 Bronze awards. Food Academy producers won 38 awards, highlighting the success of the supplier programme.
The winning products were recognised for their high quality, flavour and taste, with O’Brien Fine Foods, Dunns Seafare, Couveture Desserts, Ballymaguire Foods, Skeaghanore Duck, and Raffertys Fine Foods all receiving Gold awards.
Managing Director at SuperValu, Martin Kelleher commented, “It is fantastic to see a record number of SuperValu Own Brand and Food Academy producers honoured with awards this year, recognising the unrivalled quality Irish produce being produced locally and supplied to SuperValu’s stores around Ireland.”
