ECR Ireland's 2nd annual Supply Chain Summit takes place at the City West Hotel, Dublin, on Wednesday 10th September. Checkout has been unveiled as media partner for the event, which features the theme 'Collaboration: The Key To A Truly Successful Supply Chain'.
Speakers at the event include Claude Tonna-Barthet of ADM Londis, who will be presenting on the retailer's chilled distribution platform; Peter Donohue of BWG Group, who will discuss the development of the group's National Distribution Centre and Diarmuid Behan of Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland, on the retailer's work to drive more collaboration and efficiency into its supply chain.
Outside of retail, the event will also see presentations from Denis O'Brien of GS1 Ireland, Phil Mitchell of Unilever, Ronan Clinton of Heavey RF, AECOM's John Finnegan, and David Hogg of IBM.
"The Summit aims to provide united leadership for the Irish food and drink industry on end-to-end supply chain topics on an annual basis," said Declan Carolan, ECR Ireland. "The objective is to enhance operational excellence by enabling trading partners to work together to increase efficiency and effectiveness in Supply Chain Management, to eliminate waste and disruption and improve the quality of service to consumers and shoppers."
The event will also see the presentation of the ECR Supply Chain award, which acknowledges excellence and innovation in supply chain management. The nominees include BWG Foods, GS1 Ireland and ADM Londis.
