If Motor Trades are excluded, seasonally adjusted, the volume of retail sales has shown an annual increase of 4.6% until June this year.
There was an increase of 0.1% in the volume of retail sales in June 2018 when compared with May 2018, according to new figures published by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
The research indicates that food businesses are up by 5.7% and shows a monthly increase of 0.9%.
Books, Newspapers, Stationary & Other Goods showed an annual increase of 0.8% but were down by 2.6% versus the previous month.
Collectively retail businesses as whole showed rose by 7% in year until June and showed a monthly decrease of 3.4%.
