Patterson’s Londis in Foxrock has recently completed a revamp of the store, with an official relaunch that took place on 28 October. Broadcaster George Hook and entrepreneur and Chairman of Insomnia Coffee Bobby Kerr were in attendance as special guests, to cut the ribbon reopening the store.
Patterson’s revamped Londis store has a number of new elements to it including a new fresh food offering called Londis DELI, which focuses on an improved range of healthy, fresh fare. The store has also added an impressive home bakery section and is now serving premium coffee brand, Insomnia.
The main focus of the revamp was to showcase the new Londis store design concept and to enhance the range of fresh food options in store and extend the wine and beer offering.
The relaunch was marked with a number of special events. Refreshments and tastings were available in store throughout the day, with a prize draw run also for a weekend in Powerscourt Hotel. Children’s entertainment, including balloon modelling and face painting, was put on, and the winners of a Children’s Halloween Colouring Competition were named and awarded prizes.
Speaking at the opening, Patrick Patterson, retailer and owner of Patterson’s Londis, said: “We have made considerable investment in the store in the past year. Fresh food is a massive focus for us and I believe our new offering makes us stand out. I think the investment in the store will better service the community in the years ahead.”
Conor Hayes, Londis Sales Director had high praise for the work done by Patrick and his team. “Patrick Patterson is a long established Londis retailer of over 20 years. Patrick has embraced all of the new concepts that BWG Foods (owners and operators of the Londis brand) have brought to Londis such as Londis DELI, Insomnia coffee and a new bakery. These concepts complement the brand’s new look and feel of the store. We are very proud of what Patrick and his staff achieved here.”
Patterson’s Londis has been serving the Foxrock community for the past 22 years. There are ten staff employed in the store.
